ITINERARY
Day 1 - Arrival in Manali :
Arrival from Delhi/Chandigarh by Bus/Flight (Own cost) and check inn at hotel in Manali for dinner and overnight. (No transportation)
Day 2 - Manali – Jispa :
Early morning drive to Jispa, driving across Atul tunnel and passing through Sissu and Darcha and then Crossing. Overnight in fixed camp/Hotel at Jispa for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 - Jispa - Leh (255 Km):
After early breakfast leave for Leh en-route crossing Nakeela and Lachalung-la Pass (16,617 ft.). Baralacha Pass (16020 ft) to arrive at Serchu in the late afternoon Break for lunch at Pang and then drive on towards Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (a vast plateau stretching for 42 kms) and then crossing Taglang-La (17,585ft) and driving through the upper Indus Valley. Reach Leh by evening. Arrive hotel in Leh for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 - Leh – Sangam Tours
After breakfast, drive for local sightseeing of Leh city including – Sangam – Where Indus & Zanskar river meets and also famous for river rafting during the Summer Months, Magnetic Hill – Here is believed that the gravity takes a backseat, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib- Was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Ladakh Region, Spituk Monastery – Home for the wish fulfilling Glorious Goddess (famous among Hindus as Kali Mata), Hall of fame – a memorial built in the memory of all the soldiers who lost their lives in India – Pakistan War. Evening Shanti stupa, Leh palace and Leh local Market. Back to Leh hotel for dinner and overnight
Day 5- Leh-Nubra valley (Via Khardongla Pass):
Morning Drive to Nubra valley over the Khardung la, (18300feet) highest motor able road in the World. The view from top of the passes is amazing. One can see all the way south over the Indus valley to the seemingly endless peaks. After explores we drive toward the down Hunder past an area of rolling sand dunes, one can see double hump Camel and visitors can take a camel safari dune at Hundar. On the way can visit Diskit monastery and Maitre Buddha statue, Dinner and overnight in nubra val
Day 6 - Hunder- Turtuk – Hunder :
After breakfast, drive to Turtuk (which was first opened for tourists in 2010) which is a place Annexed by India only after the 1971 war, the village of Turtuk is one of the only Balti villages in India and lies right next to the LOC. The village with the whole population of Muslims still resembles mini-Pakistan. The village’s inhabitants still use traditional utensils which are crafted from stone. Explore the village of Turtuk the village offers views of a beautiful valley, part of Shyok Valley. On clear days you can have a glimpse of K2 Mountain peak located across the border in Pakistan. Return to Hundar by the evening.
Day 7 - Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok :
After breakfast at hotel we drive to next destination pangong lake via Shyok and onto Tangtse and Spangmik (Pangong). It’s a short cut and it’s a beautiful route. The road follows the Shyok river, and climbs up a mountain before finally descending into Shayok village. It took us less than an hour to reach Shayok, and we were delighted at the sight of the rather big village surrounded by barren mountains, the entire setting being very picturesque. Afternoon we reach at Pangong lake and enjoy your day at pangong lake. Overnight.
Day 8 - Pangong lake – leh (Via Changla Pass):
During early morning, you can enjoy a photo-session around the lake. Post breakfast drive to Leh via Changla pass you will reach leh by noon. In the afternoon, enjoy a shopping tour in the local markets of Leh. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 - Leh Departure :
After breakfast, check out from the hotel & drop at Airport for return journey with sweet memories of Ladakh Tour
